Safely removing the outer cap of an Apeks low-profile automatic dump valve is best done with the Apeks drysuit dump valve tool.
It eliminates the risk of cracked valve housings or broken plastic retention tabs that commonly occur when using screwdrivers or other improper tools.
 
How It Works:
Place the tool's specialised ring with the 6 dedicated flaps upside down directly over the threads of the dump valve.
Thread the bottom locking ring back onto the valve body.
As you tighten the assembly, the 6 flaps are guided to slide directly between the valve body and the outer cap. After a few turns, the cap safely clicks off the body, granting immediate access to the internal components.
